| Today, members of our Reese Junior Firefighter Program joined fellow Juniors from the Westminster and Manchester Volunteer Fire Departments for a day of hands-on training hosted by Westminster Fire Department.
Using an acquired structure, the Juniors had the opportunity to practice important fire service skills, including search and rescue of a downed firefighter in simulated smoke conditions, an introduction to Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) equipment, and advancing a charged hoseline into and out of a structure.
But the day was about more than learning techniques and handling equipment.
It was about teamwork, building confidence, making connections with fellow Juniors from neighboring departments, and learning from experienced firefighters who are helping prepare the next generation of the fire service.
We are incredibly proud of our Reese Juniors for their continued enthusiasm, dedication, and willingness to learn!
A special thank you to **Westminster Fire Department** for hosting and providing this valuable training opportunity, to **Manchester Volunteer Fire Department** for joining in, and to the volunteers and Junior Advisors who invested their time in making the day possible.
**The future of the fire service is looking bright, and we're proud to be part of it!** β€οΈπ
