Last night, the Carroll County Department of Fire and EMS held their Induction Ceremony and welcomed new career staff to the County. As such, most DFEMS career staff were excused from their shifts in the firehouses to attend the event.

Carroll County's volunteer fire companies were asked to find coverage during the event in order to respond to any emergency calls so that the County's Career Staff could remain at the Ceremony. Reese and Community Volunteer Fire Company volunteers stepped up in a big way and staffed five pieces of emergency apparatus, including two Medic units, one of which filled in at Station 3, Westminster during that time.
