Just after noon today, Reese & Community Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported brush fire along Baltimore Blvd (Rt 140) at the Carroll/Baltimore County line.

Units arrived finding two fast moving fires on each side of the Liberty Reservoir Bridge. Fire units from Baltimore County were on scene to handle the Baltimore County incident side and units from Reese and Gamber Fire Companies extinguished a large area on the Finksburg (Carroll County) side.

Units were on scene for about an hour before returning to service.
