While clearing an EMS standby event at McDaniel College your Reese and Community Volunteer Fire Company firefighters were alerted for a house fire in Gamber's first due on Louisville Road. Without wasting a moment, Chief 9, Engine 91, and Engine-Tanker 94 swiftly headed to the scene, closely followed by Brush 95.

Chief 13 arrived at the location and promptly declared it a working fire, initiating the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) protocol. The firefighting teams demonstrated exceptional skill and determination as they launched a forceful interior attack. Remarkable progress was made, thanks to their aggressive efforts. Reese's crew played a vital role in extinguishing the fire and conducting thorough overhaul operations.

To ensure the well-being of affected individuals, the Red Cross was promptly notified. Additionally, the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office has been called upon to investigate the incident and determine its cause. The dedicated crews from Reese remained at the scene, tirelessly operating for approximately 90 minutes.

Your firefighters' commitment and professionalism were evident throughout this challenging incident, showcasing their unwavering dedication to the community's safety and welfare.
