The Reese and Community Fire Department stands in solidarity with members Matt and Michael Knight during the loss of their beloved mother.

Carolyn Elaine Knight, 72, of Westminster, died Friday, November 24, 2023, at BridgingLife Dove House. Born May 3, 1951 in Union Bridge, MD, she was the daughter of the late Genevieve Lippy and Robert Weller. She was the beloved wife of the late Roger David Knight, who died July 4, 2000.

Carolyn worked as a beautician and owned her own beauty shop. She also worked for Rill's Bus Service and at Carroll Hospital Center. She was a member of New Windsor Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and attended Carrollton Church of God. Carolyn was a great cook, enjoyed camping, bingo and gambling.

She is survived by twin sons Michael Knight and girlfriend Vanessa Ferrucci of Westminster and Matt Knight and wife Amy of Westminster; a daughter Danielle Pobletts and husband John of Westminster; grandchildren Ashley Follmeyer and husband Jerry and Emma Knight, brother-in-law Kenneth Knight of Finksburg and devoted cousin Linda Selby and husband Rick of New Windsor. Also survived by 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by grandchildren Alyssa and Brandon Abbott.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Carrollton Church of God Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the New Windsor Fire Dept., 101 High St., New Windsor, MD 21776.
